A little background on me.

I was born in South Texas in the Carrizo Springs area. While attending school there, I met my wife, Debbie. We became parents early in our life. As the provider for my family, I realized I needed to find a job that not only had I dreamed of having, but one that could help me give my family a better life. I have always been fascinated with law enforcement. I attempted to attend college in order to earn a degree in Criminal Justice, but the demands of working, going to school and having a family was too great. I decided to attend the Basic Peace Officer’s Program at Southwest Texas Junior College. There I was able to successfully complete the requirements and obtained my Peace Officer license.

I began my career in law enforcement at the Dimmit County Sheriff’s Office as a Reserve Deputy before becoming a full-time deputy. I also worked for the Crystal City Police Department for a few months. It was at this time that I realized that in order to better provide for my growing family, I needed to relocate to another area in the state.

After looking around, we felt that the City of Kyle was a nice, growing community with good schools for our children. While adjusting to the new area, I became a Reserve Deputy Constable in Caldwell County. During this time, I was able to make new friends, and this led me to becoming a Deputy Sheriff in Caldwell County. There I rose in rank and became a Narcotics Detective.

During this time, the City of Kyle really began to grow. With growth, the Kyle Police Department needed more officers. I felt it would be great to work for the community I lived in and I was lucky to attain a position with the Kyle Police Department. I worked Kyle’s streets 5 years. During this time, I became familiar with the Constable’s Office and noticed it was falling behind regarding technology and just not being active in the community. Since I had previous experience with a constable’s office and I enjoyed what I learned, I decided to run for Hays County Constable, Pct. 2 in 2016. Fortunately, I won my election and took office in 2017.

During my term as Constable, I have worked with the Hays County Commissioner’s Court and I have been able to upgrade the department with newer technology. I have built a good working relationship with both the Chief of Police for Kyle and the Hays County Sheriff. My deputies have been proactive in the community by assisting both agencies as needed as well as performing traffic control duties on their own. My office participates in many school activities as well as community events.

I am once again running for Re-Election as your Constable. I want to continue to build what I have started and serve this community. My door is always open for you to come in and express your needs or concerns. If there is a way for us to help, we will.

I am asking for your continued support in the upcoming election.
